Stephan von Breuning (entomologist)
Stephan von Breuning (born November 21, 1894 in Vienna , † March 11, 1983 in Paris ) was an Austrian beetle explorer .
Von Breunig studied at the University of Vienna , where he obtained his doctorate in paleontology and paleobiology in 1920 with the dissertation "Contributions to the tribal history of the Rhinocertidae". phil. received his doctorate. He was a private scholar and had lived in Paris since 1945. He specializes in the Lamiinae , a subfamily of longhorn beetles . He described almost half of all known species of the Lamiinae today.
