Stephanie Utz (born November 9, 1982 in Dachau ) is a German volleyball player .

Career

Stephanie Utz is a real Lohhofer home grown man. For the first time in the first division squad, the then youth player was at Bayern Lohhof. She played a European game for this club. After the bankruptcy and reintegration into the SVL, the outside attacker initially played with the women I in the Regionalliga Südost. In 2005 Utz was promoted to the second Bundesliga with the Unterschleißheim team . In the next season, the newcomer was immediately champion of this class, but waived the right to play in the first division . In 2007 Stephanie Utz was runner-up with the women from Unterschleißheim. One sentence was missing to defend the title. After a fourth place in the next season. the student rose to the 1st Bundesliga in 2009 with the 1st team of the SVL. Since then, the team's captain has generally been deployed in the diagonal position. The trainee teacher for sports and the Catholic religion owes her greatest personal success to a coincidence. Since Franziska Bremer from Sinsheim, who was actually intended for the all-star game of the German Volleyball League , had to cancel due to illness, Stephanie Utz took part in the game north against south. Martina Utz's younger sister not only won the game with the South, she was also voted MVP of this event.

The captain was in the nine games of the 2010/11 season until her injury in the starting line-up of SV Lohhof. After being unable to play in two games, the native of Dachau was always on the field at the beginning of the remaining thirteen games of the season. How important the diagonal player was for the team is shown by the fact that she was only substituted four times. In the home game against the toughest rivals DJK Augsburg-Hochzoll (3-1 win) and in the last game of the season against VfL Nürnberg (also a 3-1 win), Stephanie Utz was on the playing field from the beginning to the end of the pairings. With these successes , the Upper Bavarians became second division champions ahead of the Augsburgers. In 2013 Stefanie Utz ended her volleyball career.

In 2014 Utz went to Berlin and has since played in the 2nd Bundesliga North , until 2017 in the 2nd team of Köpenicker SC and then at BBSC Berlin . Since she was accepted into the college of the St. Paul Catholic School in 2015, she has combined her volleyball commitment with her professional activity as a primary school teacher.
