Stephen H. Urquhart

Stephen Harold Urquhart (* around 1965 in Houston , Texas ) is an American politician ( Republican Party ).

Life

Urquhart grew up in Houston, Texas. He studied biology at Williams College in Williamstown , Massachusetts , where he received a Bachelor of Arts . He then studied at the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University in Provo , Utah , where he received a Juris Doctor in 1992 . Urquhart now practiced as an attorney in a large law firm in Newport Beach , California and Seattle , Washington before moving to his wife's hometown St. George , Utah, to open his own law firm there in the 1990s . In 2000, he was elected to the Utah House of Representatives, from January 1, 2001 to December 31, 2008. Since January 1, 2009, he has been a Senator in the Utah Senate for the 29th District.

Urquhart is married and has four children.
