St. Franziskus Heiligenbronn Foundation

The St. Franziskus Heiligenbronn Foundation was founded in 1991 by the then Bishop Walter Kasper at the request of the Franciscan Sisters of Heiligenbronn in order to continue the social tasks of the Heiligenbronn Monastery in a responsible manner and to further develop them in a sustainable manner.

The foundation is a socio-economic company with facilities and services for the disabled , the elderly as well as child and youth welfare . Facilities are located at over 30 locations, including in Schramberg , Dunningen , Rottweil , Zimmer oR , Tübingen , Geislingen (near Balingen), Spaichingen , Wehingen , Tuttlingen , Mühlheim an der Donau , Villingen-Schwenningen and in Baindt .

The foundation is also the sponsor of a special needs education center with a boarding school specializing in hearing (school for the hearing impaired) and two special needs education centers with a boarding school specializing in vision (school for the blind and visually impaired) in Heiligenbronn and Baindt.
