Stiven Rivić [ ˈstiʋɛn ˈriʋitɕ ] (born August 9, 1985 in Pula , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a former Croatian football player .
Career
societies
In 1991 Rivić joined the Istrian association NK Istra Pula . There, the offensive player was discovered by scouts from the German Bundesliga club FC Schalke 04 and brought into the junior team in 2003. But just a year later, ex-Schalke Marc Wilmots brought him to the Belgian first division club Sint-Truidense VV .
2005/06 Rivić played another year for NK Istra in 1961 in the Croatian first division , where he was the team's top scorer with twelve goals. The Croat then came back to Germany to join the first division promoted Energie Cottbus , who secured his services until 2009. In 2008 he extended his contract early until 2012.
For the 2010/11 season Rivić moved to 1. FC Kaiserslautern and signed a three-year contract. In his first season with FCK he made 12 first division appearances. In the summer of 2011, a change of club was suggested to him. Since this did not materialize, he trained with the 2nd team until further notice. He was also no longer in the Bundesliga squad. On January 20, 2012, Rivić terminated his contract with 1. FC Kaiserslautern, which was valid until June 30, 2013, with retroactive effect to December 31, 2011. Rivić joined NK Istra in February 2012 . On August 6, 2012, FC Energie Cottbus signed him . Rivić received a two-year contract until June 2014. After relegation in 2014, he did not receive a new contract and was without a club until March 23, 2017, before the lower-class English club Hampton & Richmond Borough FC from London signed him for six months.
On October 6, 2017, Rivić joined fourth division GSD Ambrosiana in Italy and ended his active career there in summer 2019.
National team
Between 2001 and 2006, Rivić played 27 games for various Croatian national teams and scored eight goals.
