Stolzenbergerhof is a district of the municipality Bayerfeld-Steckweiler in the Donnersbergkreis in Rhineland-Palatinate . It originated from an estate owned by the Lords of Falkenstein .
location
Stolzenbergerhof is located on the right bank of the Alsenz around 400 m as the crow flies from Bayerfeld-Steckweiler and 140 m above the town center on a mountain plateau. Two of the buildings that still exist today are protected as cultural monuments .
history
Stolzenberg Castle, which was completely destroyed in 1471, near today's Bayerfeld-Steckweiler community, included a larger estate . As part of the Stolzenburg office of the County of Falkenstein, it was owned by the Dukes of Pfalz-Zweibrücken and the Lords of Falkenstein . There is a confirmation of an inheritance letter signed by Duke Gustav Samuel Leopold von Zweibrücken on February 12, 1720. The tenants Gerhard Bumb and Johannes Krebs, whose families had lived there since 1689, are named here.
According to a municipality register from 1868, the place had 49 inhabitants (33 Catholics, 18 Protestants) and 21 buildings.
