Valentin-Bauer-Strasse

Valentin Bauer was an SPD politician. From 1920 to 1933 Bauer was a representative of his party on the city council. During this time he was also a member of the supervisory board of the municipal housing company GAG . He was then appointed sole director for the company. After the Second World War he was a founding member of the newly founded Palatinate SPD. Valentin Bauer's name in Ludwigshafen today is primarily associated with his work in the reconstruction of the city.

The Valentin-Bauer-Siedlung was ready for occupancy in 1956. Your name gradually replaced the name " Schlachthof-Viertel ".
