The Strada Statale 29 (SS29) is an Italian State Street , 1928 between Poirino and Savona has been set. It goes back to the Strada nazionale 46, which was laid out on the same route in 1923. Because of its leadership over the Pass Colle di Cadibona, it bears the title Del Colle di Cadibona . Its length is 154 kilometers.

In 1956 the SS10 was relocated between Villanova d'Asti and Turin on a northern route via other places. Therefore the SS29 was extended over the old route of the SS10 to Turin. The section between Poirino and Villanova d'Asti became the SS29racc branch. this branch was first downgraded to regional road in 2001 and then to provincial road in 2007 and today bears the number SP29racc. The SS29 was also downgraded to a regional road in 2001. In 2008, the section between Turin and Santena became the SP29 provincial road, which meant that the previous SP29 di Oviglia became the SP729; the section from Alba to the border with Liguria became the SP429 di Cortemilia . In Liguria itself, the road was handed over to the ANAS again and is thus again a state road. The (ex) SS29 runs on bypass roads in Poirino, Montà, Canale, Dego, Cairo Montenotte and Altare.
