Strale

The Strale is a two-man dinghy with trapeze and spinnaker .

The dinghy was designed in 1966 by the northern Italian designer Ettore Santarelli , but could never really establish itself in Germany due to the competition with Korsar and 470s . It was built by the Italian shipyards Bianchi & Cecchi in Cogoleto , La Prairie Zanlonghi, Santarelli and Plastilupi, but also by Vötterl on Lake Starnberg and in France.

In the 1970s and 1980s there was a German Strale class association which also held regattas . In Germany, the Strale was mainly sailed in southern Germany, such as on Lake Constance, Ammersee or Wörthsee.
