history
Alfred Michaelis laid the foundation stone for today's Strama-MPS Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG with the establishment of the A. Michaelis Schleif- & Bohrwerk Motoren repair company in 1946. The one-man engine repair business became a contract manufacturer who supplied companies such as BMW , Bosch and ZF Passau with fully assembled assemblies. With the establishment of its own team for conception, engineering and project management , Strama-MPS developed into a solution provider for special machine and plant construction .

Locations and subsidiaries
- The Nexus doo in Croatia belongs since 2005 to Strama Group. The contract manufacturer is active in the areas of welding and milling as well as steel construction. In 2015, Nexus BH doo was also founded in Bosnia.
- In 2009 Strama-MPS took over the company AuE Kassel GmbH . AuE is the world market leader in the field of axle alignment technology and supplies the automotive industry with automated solutions for the chassis area.
- In 2011 Strama-MPS had a subsidiary in China, Strama-MPS Machinery Taicang Ltd. , which supplies special machines for the local market.
- The Strama-MPS US Inc. in Duncan (USA) supplies the US market with special machines.
- In 2014 Strama-MPS took over F & K DELVOTEC GmbH , a Munich-based bonding technology specialist with subsidiaries in the USA (Foothill Ranch), China (Taicang) and Singapore. F & K DELVOTEC has been the global innovation leader for wire and laser bonders for 40 years.
- In 2015 the Indian subsidiary Strama-Summit Machinery Pvt. Ltd. founded for the construction of special machines for the Indian market.
- The Mexican subsidiary Strama-MPS Maquinaria México S. de RL de CV has also been in existence since 2015, planning assembly systems, machining centers, cleaning systems and setting technology for the Central and South American market.
