Straubing University Prize
The Straubinger University Prize was first announced in 1997 and has been awarded annually to students and / or doctoral candidates ever since. A special feature of this honor is that the submitted work must have a connection to the city of Straubing and / or the district of Straubing- Bogen . One third of the prize money for the award is donated by the city of Straubing, the district of Straubing-Bogen and the Sparkasse Niederbayern-Mitte. A representative of each of these three bodies (the mayor of the city, the district administrator and a board member of the Sparkasse) together make up the committee that is ultimately responsible for the selection of the selected work.
