The Strickerbach is a one and a half kilometer long stream in the area of the city of Hattingen and the Witten district of Buchholz in the Ennepe-Ruhr district in North Rhine-Westphalia . It is a western and left tributary of the Pleßbach .

geography

course

The Strickerbach rises northwest of Sprockhövel and southeast of the Muhrmanns Hof , at an altitude of about 185  m above sea level. NHN directly west of Sprockhöveler Straße .

The stream first crosses under Sprockhöveler Straße. then flows about half a kilometer in an east-northeast direction through arable land and then enters a small mixed forest. There it changes its direction to the southeast, makes a small arc in the forest and then runs along the edge of the forest. A little further down the stream it forms a small pond.

He now turns sharply to the right and walks through fields past a pond. The Strickerbach then runs along the northern edge of the Am Stricker road in an east-northeast direction.

The Strickerbach still crosses under the A 43 and finally flows into the Schultenbuschstraße at an altitude of about 113  m above sea level. NHN from the left into the Pleßbach .

The 1.6 km long course of the Strickerbach ends about 72 meters in altitude below its source, so it has an average bed gradient of about 45 ‰.
