The Stripsenjoch is a pass (= yoke ) with a height of 1577  m above sea level. A. , which forms the transition from the Zahmer Kaiser to the Wilder Kaiser . In addition, it marks the watershed between the Kaiserbach in the Kaisertal in the west (towards Kufstein ) and the Kaiserbachtal in the east (towards Kirchdorf iT ).

The Stripsenjoch gets its name from the neighboring Stripsenkopf ( 1807  m ). The Stripsenkopf is also the local mountain of the Stripsenjochhaus , a hut of the Austrian Alpine Club .

The easiest way to get to the Stripsenjoch is on foot in an approx. 1½ hour hike that starts at the Griesner Alm at 989  m . If you want to bypass the toll road and climb directly from Griesenau ( 727  m ), the walk is extended to 3 hours. Coming from Kufstein ( 500  m ) it takes a good 4½ hours.
