The Stripsenkopf is a mountain in the Kaiser Mountains in the northern Limestone Alps . It belongs to the Zahmer Kaiser and is up to 1807  m above sea level. A. high peaks overgrown with mountain pines .

location

The Stripsenkopf rises directly to the north above the Stripsenjoch , which separates the summit from the Wilder Kaiser . Its location makes the Stripsenkopf a very popular excursion mountain with an impressive view of the rock faces of Karlspitzen and Totenkirchl . From the Stripsenkopf a wide ridge stretches to the northeast over to the Feldberg ( 1814  m ), over which there is a frequently used path to Griesenau . On the west side the Stripsenkopf breaks off with pine and forest slopes into the Kaisertal and to the southeast with craggy flanks and ditches into the Kaiserbachtal .

Routes

Several marked routes lead to the top of the strip. The normal ascent begins on the Griesner Alm ( 1000  m ) and leads over the Stripsenjochhaus in around 2.5 hours via a short, secured staircase to the summit with a wooden pavilion. The way from Kufstein via the Anton-Karg-Haus and the Hans-Berger-Haus to the Stripsenkopf is much longer in around 5 hours. There is also a path from the Kohltal near Schwendt over the Tristecken and a route from Griesenau over the Scheibenbühelalm and the neighboring Feldberg to the Stripsenkopf.
