Strybisch ( Ukrainian Стрибіж ; Russian Стрыбеж Strybesch ) is a village in the Ukrainian Oblast Zhytomyr with about 700 inhabitants (2001).
The village, founded in the first half of the 17th century (another source mentions the year 1240), has been part of the rural community of Kurne ( Курненську сільську територіальну громаду ) in the south of Pulyny district since the end of 2017 . Until then it was the administrative center of an independent district council .
The village is located on the banks of the Svitlytsia ( Світлиця ), a 13 km long right tributary of the Tnja ( Тня ), about 10 km southeast of the Kurne community center ( Курне ), 12 km southwest of the Pulyny district center and 40 km northwest of the Zhytomyr oblast center .
The M 06 / E 40 road runs to the northwest of the village, 5 km away .
