Stuart Sinclair Wilson (born July 22, 1954 in Gore , New Zealand ) is a former New Zealand rugby union player on the position of the outer three quarters . His main job is as a real estate agent .

Wilson went to school at Wairarapa College in Masterton . 1973, he joined Wellington rugby club Wellington College Old Boys RFC , where he soon became the captain was appointed the First team. In his youth he was also a player for the New Zealand U-21 national team (NZ Colts).

In 1975 he was appointed to the second team of the Wellington RFU . After just two games, he moved from there to the first team.

The following year Wilson was nominated for the squad of the New Zealand national team (All Blacks). In 1977 he toured Italy and France with the All Blacks , where he played his first two internationals for New Zealand against the French national team . In the same year, he was also able to defend the Bledisloe Cup against the Australian national team (Wallabies) with New Zealand and win a Grand Slam for the first time in the history of the All Blacks . In 1979 and 1980 he lost the Bledisloe Cup to the Wallabies with the national team.

In 1981, Wilson was again champion as team captain with Wellington and won the Ranfurly Shield with his province against Waikato RU , but lost it again to Canterbury RFU after four successful defenses in 1982 . In 1981 he won the international series with the All Blacks against the South African national team (Springboks) touring New Zealand after New Zealand won two of the three internationals. This tour, which was very controversial among the New Zealand public, due to the prevailing apartheid in South Africa, was the first visit of the Springboks since 1965 and until 1994 their last for the time being.

In the following year he won the Bledisloe Cup back from the Wallabies in three games with the national team and defended it in 1983. In 1983 he also won the international series with the All Blacks against the British and Irish Lions touring New Zealand , after New Zealand won all four internationals for themselves decided. Wilson toured the end of the All Blacks in Europe , where he was a team captain, inter alia, in the two international matches against the Scottish national team and English national team functioned.
