The Stuarts River is a river in eastern Dominica in the Parish Saint David .

geography

The Stuarts River itself has several well-known source streams: Ravine Déjeuner and Ravine Bouc among others. These arise in the southeastern foothills of the Morne Trois Pitons in the Morne Trois Pitons National Park on the border of the parishes of St. David and Saint George (Dominica) . The Ravine Déjeuner also rises very close to the Freshwater Lake ( Oroix ), which is considered the origin of the Roseau River , which drains west to the municipality of Roseau. However, the source streams arise on the edge of the high plateau and run steadily to the northeast. The Chemin L'Étang Trail follows the valley of the Ravine Déjeuner. At Gueule Lion the source streams unite and the short Ravine Bouc flows in from the right and south. The hill of Grand Fond separates the river from its eastern neighbor, the O'Hara River . At Morne George it joins the Clarke's River and soon after the Brown's River flows into it, after which the river takes the name Rosalie River . The river is about 5.8 km long.
