action
The brothers Gummi and Kiddi live on sheep breeding in a remote valley in Iceland. They fell out 40 years ago and have not spoken to each other since. When one of the animals fell ill with scrapie , the health authorities feared that the disease could spread. Although sheep farming is one of the oldest and most renowned on the island, all animals in the herd should be euthanized for safety. Thus the livelihoods of the brothers are in acute danger, so that they have to come together in order to avert the disaster.

The film service describes the film as an "insane tragicomedy about loneliness, primed with tender melancholy". She “mixes poetry and Weltschmerz in the rough landscape pictures and moves the brothers who watch from afar with rigid tableaus and frontal portraits”.
