Sturla Holm Lægreid (born February 20, 1997 in Bærum ) is a Norwegian biathlete .

Career

Sturla Holm Lægreid contested his first international races at the 2018 Biathlon Junior World Championships in Otepää , where he won silver in the individual and - together with Sivert Bakken , Johannes Dale and Endre Strømsheim - in the relay. After a winter without international competitions, he took part in races as part of the IBU Cup in Martell , after a 17th place in the sprint he surprisingly won the mass start60. He was then nominated for participation in the 2020 European Biathlon Championships in Minsk , where he won the silver medal in the pursuit race behind Belarusian Sergei Vadimowitsch Botscharnikow . Shortly thereafter, he was appointed to the World Cup team, in the Czech Nové Město na Moravě he qualified after faultless shooting with a 13th place in the sprint straight away for the mass start race, which he finished in 15th place.
