Johannes Dale starts for the Fet SSK association . He contested his first international races in 2017 at the Junior World Championships in Slovakia. Together with Dag Sander Bjørndalen , Aleksander Fjeld Andersen and Sindre Pettersen , he won the silver medal in the relay race. At the Junior World Championships 2018 followed - together with Sivert Guttorm Bakken , Endre Strømsheim and Sturla Holm Lægreid - again silver in the relay race and the bronze medal in the pursuit race. After winning both individual races of the IBU Cup in Ridnaun in December 2018 , he strengthened the Norwegian team at the World Cup in Nové Město na Moravě and achieved 15th place in the sprint and 28th place in the pursuit in his first races the point ranks. After several appearances in the second-class IBU Cup with four podium placements, he took part in the World Cup races overseas in February 2019. After a 70th place in the shortened individual race in Canmore , he reached a top 10 placement for the first time in Soldier Hollow with a tenth place in the sprint. In the following chase he was eleventh. At other starts in the IBU Cup, he won another race and achieved another podium with a third place. At the season finale of the World Cup in Oslo he just missed qualifying for the pursuit race with a 63rd place in the sprint. Dale was part of the Norwegian team in the World Cup at the beginning of the 2019/20 season . In the first individual race, the sprint in Östersund, he achieved a top 10 placement with a seventh place. Also in Östersund he won the relay race shortly afterwards together with Erlend Bjøntegaard , Tarjei Bø and Johannes Thingnes Bø and thus his first World Cup race.
