Suez SA (until 2015 Suez Environnement ), based in Paris, is a listed French group in the environmental sector. The four main activities of the group are management solutions for the water cycle, recycling & waste recovery, solutions for water treatment and consulting services for sustainable urban and spatial planning.

history

The company emerged from the outsourcing of the environmental activities of the Groupe Suez (which referred to the tradition of the Compagnie universelle du canal maritime de Suez ); when it merged with Gaz de France in 2008 , its environmental activities (waste and water management) were listed on the stock exchange under the name Suez Environnement ; when GDF Suez adopted the name Engie in 2015 , the name Suez Environnement was shortened to Suez; Engie continues to hold a significant minority stake in the company (32% as of October 2019).
