Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Al-Haj ibni Hisamuddin Alam Shah Al-Haj (born March 8, 1926 in Istana Bandar Temasya, Kuala Langat , Malaysia ; † November 21, 2001 in Kuala Lumpur , Malaysia) was Sultan of Selangor and from 1999 to on his death in 2001 Yang di-Pertuan Agong (King) of Malaysia.

Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah succeeded his father Sultan Hisamuddin Alam Shah as the 8th Sultan of Selangor in 1960 . On April 26, 1999, he was elected the eleventh Yang di-Pertuan Agong by the monarchs of the Malaysian states and took office on September 11, 1999. He was the oldest sultan to be elected king since Malaysia's independence.

During his tenure as Sultan of Selangor, the cities of Kuala Lumpur in 1974 and Putrajaya in 2001 were separated from the state and made federal territories.
