Sumatra is a census-designated place (CDP) in Liberty County in the US state of Florida with 148 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Sumatra is about 60 km south of Bristol and about 90 km southwest of Tallahassee . The CDP is crossed by 65 Florida State Road .

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the 148 inhabitants at that time were distributed over 101 households. 98.6% of the population described themselves as white . 1.4% said they belonged to several ethnic groups . 2.0% of the population was made up of Hispanics or Latinos .

In 2010 children under the age of 18 lived in 30.0% of all households and persons aged 65 and over lived in 26.7% of all households. 70.0% of the households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring).
