Zwiefelhof is a district of the town of Roth in the Middle Franconian district of Roth in Bavaria .

The hamlet is located on the northern edge of the Franconian Lake District , on the south-east slope of the Fäßleinsberg and directly on the north-west bank of the Rothsee . It is about 7.5 km away from Roth. A road connects Zwiefelhof with the 400 meters northerly Birkach . The nature reserve north-west bank of the Rothsee main dam begins a few hundred meters to the southwest .

In 1807 Zwiefelhof was tithe from Spital Allersberg . The Bavarian original cadastre from 1808 recorded three farmsteads under the name Oberbürckach . A barn from the 17th century is still preserved and is protected as a monument with the number D-5-76-143-185 . → List of architectural monuments in Zwiefelhof
Around 1820 the place had five residential buildings and 20 residents; In 1973 there were 25 residents.

Until the municipal reform , Zwiefelhof was a district of Birkach, on January 1, 1975 it was incorporated into Roth.

In the past, Zwiefelhof was purely agricultural; Since the flooding of the Rothsee main dam in 1992/3, tourism has also played an important role in the local economy.
