Leonhardsmühle is a district of Roth in the district of Roth in Middle Franconia .

The Einödmühle is located on the Kleine Roth , which flows into the Roth immediately to the east as a right tributary . In the north the forest area "Leonhartsholz" borders, in the south the "Höglach". The state road 2220 leading to Eckersmühlen (0.7 km north-west) and after Hilpoltstein (3,5 km south-east).

history

From a fief deed of the Bamberg Cathedral Chapter dated around 1190 , which describes the Roth office, it emerges that this place was also located in the area of this office. It was not until 1431 that the individual locations of the former property were listed by name. First documented the place was called "ze ze muel Weydech" in Urbar for the castle Count's office Roth, which was set up about the 1360th In the land register of the now margravial office of Roth, which was established in 1434, the place was listed as "Weidesmuele", in the 16-point report of 1608 as "Weidenmuel". It was first referred to as "Leonhards-Mühl" in Johann Georg Vetter's descriptions of the senior office in 1732 .

The mill was destroyed during the Thirty Years War . The reconstruction took place after the end of the war in 1649. In the period that followed, the mill owned 300 days of forest ownership (= "Leonhartsholz").

Towards the end of the 18th century, the Leonhardsmühle belonged to Eckersmühlen . There was an estate. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach Oberamt Roth . The estate was owned by the Roth Kastenamt as landlord . Under the Prussian administration (1792-1806) of the Principality of Ansbach, the Leonhardsmühle was given house numbers 49 and 50 in the village of Eckersmühlen.

As part of the community edict , Leonhardsmühle was assigned to the Eckersmühlen tax district, which was formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Eckersmühlen , which was founded in 1811 .

In 1908 the mill was used to generate electricity for the municipality of Eckersmühlen. In 1923 the electricity supply had to be handed over to the Franconian overland plant due to excessive demands .

On May 1, 1978 Leonhardsmühle was incorporated into Roth in the course of the municipal reform.
