history

Haimpfarrich Castle

Haimpfarich Castle, built in wood, stood on the southern, 382 m high hill, from which the valley could be viewed and controlled. The mill and another small settlement were built in the valley, which is qualified as a soil monument under number D-5-6733-0040 . A particularly stable fortress construction was not possible there due to the prevailing lack of raw materials. In the area that belongs to the Franconian sand axis , there are neither pending castle sandstone nor significant deposits of clay . The castle was taken by the up-and-coming Roth in the 13th century and razed again . In 1413 the ruinous castle stable was sold to a certain Hager by Cunrath Groß, Abbot of Mönchaurach and the widow of Eberhard Groß. A reconstruction was probably not carried out, but the Hager were able to establish themselves in the area. This is indicated by the place name Hagershof in the fertile valley of the Hembach , 11 km to the north . Today it is completely gone and built over with the lock systems.

Local history

Haimpfarrich was established in the 12th century on the then important trade route from Allersberg to Georgensgmünd , which followed the course of the Kleine Roth and Wallersbach and bypassed Roth to the south. In the land register for the Burggravial Office Roth, which was set up around 1360, the place was first mentioned as "Heimpferreich". At that time the office was only entitled to "two chickens from two fields". In 1380 3 houses each had to pay two carnival hens and two of these houses had to pay an additional 3 or 6 Reuthhellers. In the land register of the now margravial office of Roth, which was established in 1434, the place consisted of 3 farms. In the 16-point report of 1608, 8 properties are recorded for the location: 3 properties were subordinate to the Roth caste office , 1 property to the Roth church, 4 properties of the Imperial City of Nuremberg ( Spitalamt Hl. Geist : 1, Landesalmosenamt: 3).

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 8 properties and a community shepherd's house in Haimpfarrich. The high court south of the Roth was exercised by the Palatinate-Bavarian nursing office Hilpoltstein and north of the Roth by the Brandenburg-Ansbach Oberamt Roth . The village and township government had the box office Roth held. The landlords were the Roth Kastenamt (1 Köblergut , 2 Gastwirtschafts-Gütlein, 1 Gütlein) and the Imperial City of Nuremberg ( Spitalamt Hl. Geist : 1 Halbhof; Landesalmosenamt: 1 Halbhof, 1 Köblergut, 1 Gut mit Mahlmühle). Nothing in these conditions had changed in 1800 either.

As part of the community edict, Haimpfarrich was assigned to the Eckersmühlen tax district, which was formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Eckersmühlen , which was founded in 1811 .

As part of the regional reform in Bavaria , Haimpfarrich was incorporated into Roth on May 1, 1978 together with Eckersmühlen.

During the construction of the Main-Danube Canal and the Rothsee, the Mühlbach was relocated and the mill was shut down.

Today the place has its own fire fighting group of the volunteer fire brigade as well as a village restaurant with beer garden. A construction company is located in Vorderhaimpfarrich, a woodworks and machine tool sales in Haimpfarrich. Once a year, in July, Haimpfarrich comes into the public eye when the Challenge Roth takes place. The start and swim course are only a kilometer away, the bike course and the marathon run of the major event run right past the place and attract countless spectators.
