Sunao Noto ( Japanese 能 登 直 , Noto Sunao ; born March 7, 1977 in Hokkaidō ) is a former Japanese biathlete .

Sunao Noto came in 2000 in Hochfilzen and Pokljuka as part of relay races for his first appearances in the biathlon world cup and was there 12th and 15th. In Osrblie he played his first individual, in which he finished 84th. The Japanese achieved his best World Cup result as the 70th of a sprint at his last World Cup race in 2003 in Ruhpolding . At the Winter Asian Games 2003 in Aomori , he won the silver medals in the sprint and pursuit races behind Hironao Meguro . He was also with Meguro, Tatsumi Kasahara and Kyōji Suga Asian champions with the relay. In 2003 , Noto competed in several races in the European Cup without achieving any results worth mentioning.

As early as 1994, Noto competed in an FIS giant slalom in Niyama .
