Biathlon at the Winter Asian Games 2003
Biathlon at the 2003 Winter Asian Games in Aomori Prefecture was held in the fifth edition of the event for men and women in three races, sprint, pursuit and relay. The dominant nations were China and, for the first time since 1990, Japan, which won all six individual medals for men. The dominant athlete for the men was Hironao Meguro , who won all three possible gold medals, for the women Kong Yingchao with two golds and one silver.
The venue for the biathlon competitions was the Iwaki-san sōgō kōen (English Mt. Iwaki Sports Park or Iwaki General Athletic Park ) in Iwaki , now part of the city of Hirosaki , in the southwest of Aomori Prefecture.
