Jerden Äbdirachmanow serves as an officer in the Kazakh armed forces . He is trained by Gennady Makarov and starts for the Kazakh army club. He made his international debut in Ruhpolding in 2000 as part of the Biathlon World Cup , but was disqualified in his first race. At the start of the following season in Hochfilzen he ran in a sprint to 117th place. After two more relay missions, it was not until 2003 that it was used again internationally. At the Winter Asian Games 2003 in Aomori , he just missed a medal in the sprint, finishing fourth, making him the best non-Japanese. He achieved the same result in the pursuit race - again behind three Japanese - and with the relay. Also in 2003 he ran again in the Biathlon European Cup , and since 2004 in the World Cup several times. The appearances in the two highest racing series of the biathlon alternated again and again in the following time. The highlight of the season were the 2004 Biathlon World Championships in Oberhof , where Äbdirachmanow was 69th in the sprint. It was also his best result in a World Cup race. Shortly afterwards the Kazakhs achieved his best international results in the preparatory competitions for the Olympic Winter Games 2006 in Cesana San Sicario with 33rd place in the individual and 69th in the sprint. In 2007 he competed in his last World Cup race so far. The 2007 Winter Asian Games in Changchun were the highlight of the year . Äbdirachmanow finished eighth in the individual and won the bronze medal with Sergei Naumik , Alexander Trifonow and Alexander Tscherwjakow in the Kazakh relay behind the representatives from China and Japan.
