Viktorija Afanassjewa ( Kazakh Cyrillic Виктория Афанасьева , born June 9, 1984 in Leninogorsk ) is a Kazakh biathlete .

Viktorija Afanassjewa lives in Ridder, is married and has one daughter. She has been running biathlon since 1996 and is trained by Mikhail Dudchenko. She made her international debut in 2000 at the Junior World Championships in summer biathlon in Khanty-Mansiysk . Here she was the winner with the relay, which also included Irina Moshevitina and Olga Dudchenko , and eighth in the sprint. In 2001 also in Khanty-Mansiysk and in 2002 in Ridnaun , she started at the junior world championships in biathlon and achieved sixth place in the relay as the best result in Ridnaun. In 2002 she made her debut in the European Cup at a sprint race in Obertilliach , where she was 12th. In 2003 she started in a race with the mixed relay in Ruhpolding for the first time in the World Cup. The sixth place achieved there is her best World Cup result so far.

At the beginning of the 2004/05 season she reached four consecutive single-digit placements in the European Cup, including a third place in the pursuit of Geilo . In the 2006/06 season she started more often in the Biathlon World Cup , the best result so far is a 42nd place in Antholz , which she achieved in an individual at the 2007 Biathlon World Championships . In January 2009, she won the sprint title at the national championships and finished third in the pursuit.
