Super League III
The Super League III (also known as JJB Sport Super League III for sponsorship reasons) was the third season of the Super League in the rugby league sport in 1998 and the first English rugby league championship since 1973, which was decided by playoffs did not constitute a separate competition. After occupying first place in the table after the end of the regular season, the Wigan Warriors made it to the first Super League Grand Final, in which they won 10-4 against the Leeds Rhinos . This was the first time they won the Super League.
