The 1977/78 season was the sixth season of the Superliga , the highest Spanish ice hockey division . Champion was for the second time in the history of the CH Casco Viejo Bilbao . Before the season started, the CH Sevilla withdrew its team from match operations.

Main round

mode

In the main round, each of the seven teams played a total of twelve games. The three first placed in the main round then qualified for the final round. In this, each team played against each opponent four times, with the results from the main round being adopted. The first place in the final round became champions. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a defeat.
