Susan Anspach
Susan Anspach (born November 23, 1942 in New York City , † April 2, 2018 in Los Angeles ) was an American theater and film actress.
life and career
Anspach was born in New York in 1942 and grew up in the borough of Queens . In 1960 she graduated from William Cullen Bryant High School in Long Island City. She starred in various Broadway shows, including Hair and a performance by The Actors Studios alongside Al Pacino . She first came to prominence as a counterpart to Jack Nicholson , her son's father, in Five Easy Pieces . A reporter for The New York Times , Vincent Canby , called her "one of the most graceful and talented actresses in America."
As a stage actress, she starred off Broadway in A View from the Bridge alongside Robert Duvall , Jon Voight and Dustin Hoffman . In her career she has appeared in nineteen feature films and eight television films as well as two television series.
