Susanna Moore (born December 9, 1945 in Bryn Mawr , Pennsylvania ) is an American writer .

Life

Susanna Moore, who grew up in Hawaii with four siblings , was a. a. worked as an actress and model before she started writing. In 1982 her first of six novels was published. She was best known for the thriller Aufschneider about a murder in New York City , which was filmed in 2003 . In 2003 I Myself Have Seen It was her self-portrait of a childhood and youth in Hawaii.

Moore received the 1999 Academy Award in Literature from the American Academy of Arts and Letters . In 2006 she received a six-month scholarship from the American Academy in Berlin , where she began to write her book The Life of Objects . She lives in New York City.
