Susanne Ahlers

Susanne Ahlers (born December 26, 1959 in Osterholz-Scharmbeck ) is a German political official .

Life

Ahlers grew up in her birthplace Osterholz-Scharmbeck. After training as a kindergarten teacher in Berlin , she passed the Abitur on the second educational path and then studied political science at the University of Bremen. . From 1989 to 1994 she studied political science at the Free University and in Bremen. From 1995 to 1997 she worked as a research assistant in the PDS parliamentary group in the German Bundestag and was the office manager of the former SED party member and as a non -party member of the PDS state list, Christian Schenk , before becoming a consultant for the state government of Schleswig-Holstein in 1997 . In 2000 she moved, meanwhile promoted to head of department, to the city of Wiesbaden , where she held the position of women's representative in 2001 and 2002. From 2002 to 2006 she worked as State Secretary for Labor and Women and Head of Office under Senator Harald Wolf (PDS, Senate Wowereit II ). After the formation of the Senate Wowereit III in 2007 gave this position and took a sabbatical year in which they, among others, in the municipality of San Francisco an intern . Subsequently, Ahlers worked as a freelance trainer and consultant until 2015, before taking over the management of the Bremen Job Center in 2016 . From September 2019 to the end of August 2020, Ahlers is State Councilor for Labor and Europe of the Senator for Economics, Labor and Europe of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen, Kristina Vogt .
