Susanne Kieckbusch (born April 24, 1961 in Endingen ) is a former German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ) and was a member of the German Bundestag from January to October 2013 .

Life and work

Kieckbusch is a teacher (state exams I and II in music, German and art) and a musician.

Kieckbusch moved into the Balingen municipal council in 2004 via the women's list and moved to the Greens shortly before she was running for the Bundestag in 2005. In addition, Kieckbusch belonged to the district council of the Zollernalb district . In 2007 she ran for mayor in Balingen , she received 6% in the first ballot and 1.4 percent of the votes in the second ballot. In order to accept her Bundestag mandate, she resigned her municipal mandates.

After losing her seat in the Bundestag, Kieckbusch planned to become active again in local politics and in October 2013 announced a candidacy for the Greens. A week later, she announced that she wanted to set up a list of women again. Neither the Greens nor the Frauenliste were informed about these plans and distanced themselves from Kieckbusch. Subsequently, Kieckbusch announced its own list of women, but failed due to a lack of support. Since then, Kieckbusch has not appeared in local or federal politics. About two years later, when she gave up her political activities, Kieckbusch said that she was now “just a teacher, and it is good the way it is now”.

After her return from the Bundestag, Kieckbusch worked as a teacher again, including in Rangendingen . In September 2015, Kieckbusch moved to the German School Erbil (Northern Iraq), the plan was two years. According to her own statements, she wanted to do something different again. At the same time, Kieckbusch worked as a German lecturer at Salahadin University in Erbil.

In August 2017 it became public that Kieckbusch works as an employee of Siemens in Erbil. According to her own statements, she works there as an "assistant to the management", but "may soon be working in a completely different place somewhere on the globe". At the same time, she is in the comfortable position of having her previous job as a teacher in the Zollernalb district for another four years because she is officially on leave.

MPs

In the 2005 Bundestag election , the 2006 state elections in Baden-Württemberg and the 2009 Bundestag election , she applied unsuccessfully for a mandate.

In January 2013, she moved up on the state list for Fritz Kuhn , who was elected Lord Mayor of Stuttgart , and was a member of the 17th German Bundestag for 9 months . For the 2013 federal election she applied for several top places on the state list, but was only elected by the delegates to the 35th place, which was considered hopeless. As expected, Kieckbusch lost her mandate after the federal election.
