Susanne Moraw

Susanne Moraw (* 1965 ) is a German classical archaeologist .

From 1985 to 1992 Susanne Moraw studied Classical Archeology, Prehistory and Early History as well as Ancient History at the Universities of Giessen and the Free University of Berlin . In 1995 she was shown in Berlin with the work The Maenad in Attic vase painting of the 6th and 5th centuries BC. Chr. Doctorate, after which she worked until 1996 at the editorial office of the German Archaeological Institute . For her dissertation she was awarded the travel grant of the German Archaeological Institute , with which she was able to travel to the Mediterranean in 1996/97 . After returning in 1998, Moraw worked on the restoration of the Pergamon Altar in Berlin. This was followed by an internship at the State Bavarian Museums in Munich and at the Musée de l'Ephèbe in Cap d'Agde from 1999 to 2001, as well as the preparation of an exhibition on theater in antiquity at the German Theater Museum in Munich. At the beginning of 2002 she was at the Beazley Archive in Oxford , and in the middle of the year she organized the conference The Other Side of Classics.
