Susanne Stupp

Susanne Stupp (* 12. April 1969 in Cologne as Susanne Wood ) is a German local politician ( CDU ) and Mayor of Frechen in Rhein-Erft-Kreis , North Rhine-Westphalia .

After graduating from high school, Susanne Holz studied political science , middle and modern history as well as German at the University of Cologne with a master’s degree in 1996. The title of her thesis was: “The advisory and decision-making process of the CDU's Hamburg policy”. During her studies, Stupp worked for Jürgen Rüttgers . From 1996 she worked as a consultant for the federal treasurer of the CDU in Bonn . Between 1999 and 2007 she took on the role of a consultant for internal and external communication at Quarzwerke in Frechen. She then worked as exhibition curator for the Augustusburg and Falkenlust palaces in Brühl until 2009 . After working as a consultant to the NRW Prime Minister Jürgen Rüttgers until 2011 , the management team at the annual congress of the European Senior Citizens' Union in Frechen. From July 2011 Susanne Stupp was a health policy advisor at the Barmer GEK in Düsseldorf .

In the local elections on September 13, 2015 , Susanne Stupp won with 60.4% of the votes cast in the first ballot with an absolute majority against Ferdinand Huck (SPD) and replaced Hans-Willi Meier (CDU) as the new mayor , who did not run again .

Susanne Stupp has been widowed since January 4, 2017 and lives in Frechen.
