Susanne von Loessl is a German actress and author .

Live and act

Susanne von Loessl was born in Hamburg and was married to fellow actor Franz Rudnick, who died in 2005 .

Professional background

During her first engagement as an actress, Susanne von Loessl spent two years at the Städtebundtheater in Hof under the direction of Horst Gnekow . Then she played in Lübeck at the StadtTheater, in Munich in the Kleine Freiheit and in the comedy in the Bayrischer Hof as well as in Hamburg in the Theater im Park and in the Hamburger Komödie. She gave the performance "A woman begins at forty" more than 700 times in Hamburg, Hanover and Munich. Further tours including " Outside in front of the door ", " Rebecca ", " God's forgotten children " and "Columbo: Murder on prescription". Her favorite theater roles: Sarah Bernardt in the two-person play " Memoirs " by John Murell, Ilse in " Spring Awakening " by Wedekind , Theresia Tallien in "The Public Abkläger" by F. Hochwälder , Mrs. Denevers in "Rebecca" by D. du Maurier and Miss Kost in the musical " Cabaret ".

In addition to her acting roles, Susanne von Loessl also began directing and directing herself. She directed the following performances in the Hamburg basement theater : Jean Cocteau : "Pocket Theater", Märta Tikkanen : "The Shadow Under Which You Live" as well as her own comedy Tournée, Tournée .

In addition to her theater engagements, she took on various television roles a. a. in Tatort (directed by Jürgen Roland ), SOKO 5113 , Peter Strohm , the Opperman siblings (directed by Egon Monk ), The Country Doctor , The Blind Judge (directed by Vojtěch Jasný ), The Questionnaire (directed by Ernst Busch ) and homeland stories . She also worked as a speaker in various radio play and audio book productions, including in the series Die drei ??? or a case for TKKG as well as all of her own novels. She shot television features & a. for Peter Otto, Peter von Zahn and Pierre Absi for ARD and ZDF .

In 1994 she published her first novel, Mal Cashmere mal Persil, with the Munich publisher Langen Müller .

Susanne von Loessel continues to write as a freelance writer for magazines, hold readings and work on a sixth novel and a children's book. She has five children and after many years in Munich she is now back in Hamburg.
