Suzana Lipovac (* 1968 in Stuttgart ) has been the founder and executive chairwoman of the human rights organization KinderBerg International Inc. since 1992 .

Life

The daughter of Bosnian Croats began training as a European secretary after graduating from high school in 1988 . After graduation, she worked from 1991 to 1992 as assistant to the sales manager at National Starch & Chemicals / Unilever . After a stay in Bosnian war zones, she founded a private humanitarian initiative in 1992 to support war wounded and refugees . In 1993 KinderBerg e. V. emerged. The project locations at that time were Bosnia and Herzegovina , Serbia , Kosovo and Macedonia . In 1999, Suzana Lipovac started the Bundeswehr's first civil-military project in Kosovo. In 2000, KinderBerg International Inc. was founded in New York . The aid organization now supports projects in Afghanistan , Sri Lanka , Nepal , the Ivory Coast and the Balkans .

Act

Suzana Lipovac brought children traumatized by the Kosovo war to Germany and took care of raped Bosnian women. To this day, she and her organization are fighting against high child mortality and the mortality of women after childbirth in crisis areas . At the head of their aid organization, Lipovac is fighting for the acceptance of humanitarian aid in the individual countries.
