Parker was the younger sister of model Dorian Leigh , whom she introduced to Eileen Ford , a well-known modeling agent, when she was fifteen . Parker was a sought-after model during the 1950s and the face of Coco Chanel for years . It was the first model in US history to charge $ 100 an hour (later even $ 200) and had an annual income of over $ 100,000. It set a new standard because the models before it should be smaller. She is often referred to as "the first supermodel".

In 1957, she began an acting career with the film A Sweet Face, alongside Fred Astaire and Audrey Hepburn . After that, she starred in Kiss Them for Me , A man in the prime of life and all my dreams and had some guest appearances on TV series such as Tarzan , in the mystery series The Twilight Zone and The Rogues .

Suzy Parker was married three times. After her career ended, she took the name of her third husband, actor Bradford Dillman , and was called Suzy Parker Dillman. She was the mother of four children and a vehement opponent of smoking and alcohol. On the other hand, she irritated the prudish American society of the 1950s with sentences like "Marriage kills all romance". The Beatles composed the song Suzy Parker about her in 1969 , heard live in their film Let It Be .
