Sven Gösmann

Sven Gösmann (born March 1, 1966 in Münden ) is a German journalist . He is the editor-in-chief of the German Press Agency (dpa).

Life

Gösmann began his professional career at the Braunschweiger Zeitung , studied political science in Berlin and then worked for the Berliner Morgenpost and Die Welt , in Hanover as the state correspondent for the Braunschweiger Zeitung and the Weser-Kurier . This was followed by the positions of Head of Politics for Welt am Sonntag and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Bild with responsibility for politics and economics. In 2005 he left Axel Springer Verlag and took over the position of editor-in-chief at Rheinische Post . Since January 1, 2014 he has been working in the same position at the dpa news agency, succeeding Wolfgang Büchner , who switched to the news magazine Der Spiegel .
