Svimjisamband Føroya (short SSF; German  "Swimming Association of the Faroe Islands" ) is the national umbrella organization for swimming in the Faroe Islands . It is based in ÍSF-Húsið , the headquarters of the Faroese sports association Ítróttasamband Føroya (ÍSF), at the Gundadalur sports stadium in the capital Tórshavn . In addition to membership of the ÍSF as one of 16 sports associations, Svimjisamband Føroya is also a member of the Nordic Swimming Federation , the European Swimming Federation LEN and the World Swimming Federation FINA . The President of the Faroese Swimming Association, founded in 1980, is Jon Hestoy.

Seven swimming clubs united under the umbrella of the association: Flot in Saltangará , Fuglafjarðar Svimjifelag in Fuglafjørður , Havnar Svimjifelag in Torshavn, Reysti or Svimjifelagið Reki in Leirvík , Svimjifelagið Skeggjar in Norðragøta , Ægir in Klaksvík and Suðuroyar Svimjifelag (short Susvim ) from the islands Suðuroy . The association's most successful swimmer, Pál Joensen , comes from the Susvim association and trains in the Vágur swimming pool . With a silver medal at the 2010 European Swimming Championships, he is the first Faroe Islands athlete to win a medal at international championships. After winning the medal, plans were accelerated to build the Faroe Islands' first 50 m pool in Vágur in his honor.
