Swen O. Savior

Swen Oliver Heiland (* 1977 in Dortmund ) is a German musician and songwriter .

Career

After graduating from high school, Swen Heiland studied law , modern German literature and English at the Ruhr University in Bochum from 1998 to 2005 . During this time he was active as a guitarist and bassist in various regional bands, before joining the band King's Tonic in 2003, with whom he has since released five music albums as well as a large number of soundtracks and sampler contributions.

Since then, Heiland has also been active solo and in other bands. Since 2009 he has been playing in the Gothic-Rock area with the bands Leandra and Butzemann. With the artist Leandra Ophelia Dax he performed a. a. at the Wave-Gotik-Treffen , the M'era Luna Festival and in the opening act of the group Apoptygma Berzerk . In addition, since 2013 he has been working in the metal formation Dortmunder Jungs together with former Sodom drummer Bobby Schottkowski , Grip Inc. guitarist Waldemar Sorychta and singer The Duke . In 2015 he founded the singer-songwriter formation Rich Kid Rebellion together with the Cryssis guitarist Trip Tom , which he is now continuing as his solo project.

Besides being a musician is Savior freelance lecturer and holds as a lecturer Seminars on music industry u. a. at the Folkwang University of the Arts , Paderborn University and Ruhr University Bochum .

Others

Swen Heiland is a fan of the Borussia Dortmund football club and composed various football anthems for them, which also appeared on the official BVB sampler Echte Liebe in 2012 , which reached number 13 in the German compilation charts. After two more tracks on the Best Of CD Nur der BVB in 2015 . The Best of Yesterday & Today was released, and in 2016 he released the album EMMAs Doppelpack as Swen O. & the Dribbelbande , a CD with children's songs about the BVB mascot, the bee EMMA . In 2017 he wrote the BVB anthem Holt den Pott nach Dortmund , which was published for the DFB Cup final on May 27, 2017 in Berlin.
