Svetlana Moskalenko
Swetlana Moskalenko ( Russian Светлана Москаленко ; born 1986 in Georgijewsk ) is a Russian opera singer with a soprano voice . She belongs to the ensemble of the Mikhailovsky Theater in Saint Petersburg .
life and work
Svetlana Moskalenko completed her vocal studies at the Saint Petersburg Conservatory in 2012 and successfully took part in international singing competitions. Her main teacher was Tamara D. Novichenko. Moskalenko was engaged at the Mikhailovsky Theater during her studies in 2011. There she developed a broad repertoire in the vocal subjects lyric soprano and coloratura soprano , including the title roles in Assafiev's Cinderella , Rimski-Korsakov's Zarskaja newesta and Verdi's La traviata . She also took on key Donizetti and Rossini roles such as Adina, Norina and Rosina. In the Mozart class she sings Susanna and with particular success the Queen of the Night. In addition, she was given singing tasks in the dance evenings Prelude and Multiplicity at the Michailowki Theater . Forms of Silence and Emptiness , both choreographed by Nacho Duato , broadcast.
In 2015 she made her first guest performances outside of Russia - as Queen of the Night on a tour of the Komische Oper Berlin in Xiamen and Guangzhou as well as at the Grand Théâtre de Genève . In 2016 she reached the finals at the Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition in Cape Town .
Her international career began in 2017: she made her debut at the Moscow Bolshoi Theater (in Il viaggio a Reims ), as Queen of Schemacha in Rimsky-Korsakov's Solotoi petuschok at the Opéra national de Lorraine of Nancy, sang the title role in Delibes' Lakmé at festivals from Copenhagen and Rattvik as well as at the Malmö Opera , and the Queen of the Night at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein .
