Sydney Bennett (born on 23. April 1992 in Los Angeles , California is) an American singer, songwriter , record producer and sound engineer of alternative R & B , which as a member of the collective Odd Future and the band The Internet was known and then began a solo career, releasing her music under the shorter name of Syd .

biography

As a teenager , Bennett built her own recording studio in her home and learned the technical side of recording music. She also began producing for the Odd Future collective and related projects. Among other things, she took the single Yonkers by Tyler , a gold record the RIAA got up and shuffled them off .

In 2011 she founded The Internet and released three albums with the band by 2015 . She then began a solo career and released her debut Fin in 2017 on Columbia Records , which placed her at number 75 on the Billboard 200 .
