Enrique Vázquez del Mercado

Carlos Enrique Vázquez del Mercado Gutiérrez (born July 31, 1950 in Guadalajara , Jalisco , † June 16, 2011 ) was a Mexican football player in the position of goalkeeper .

career

Vázquez began his footballing career in the youth division of his home club Deportivo Guadalajara , where he also received his first professional contract and in the 1969/70 season as the third goalkeeper behind the national goalkeepers Ignacio Calderón and Gilberto Rodríguez for the first time in the squad of the first team of Chivas.

The following Torneo México 70 spent Vázquez on loan at Club América . For the 1970/71 season he returned to Chivas and completed four missions.

In 1972 Vázquez moved to the capital club Atlético Español and two years later to the Tiburones Rojos Veracruz .

In 1975 he went back to the capital, where he played this time for the UNAM Pumas , with whom he won the Mexican football championship in the 1976/77 season .

The 1977/78 season spent Vázquez with UAG Tecos and the following season 1978/79 with CF Atlante , which was then still based in the capital , in which he did not, however, complete a single assignment.

In 1979 Vázquez moved to Tampico-Madero FC , where he ended his playing career in 1982.

Vázquez died on June 16, 2011.
