Sydne Rome (born March 17, 1951 in Akron , Ohio ) is an American actress who was also a pioneer of the aerobic wave in the 1980s .
Life
Rome grew up in Upper Sandusky , Ohio. Her father was the president of a plastics factory. She made her first film at the age of 18. Shortly thereafter, the actress moved to Italy , where she still lives today. In 1973 she married Emilio Lari . In the 1970s, it included the films Beautiful Gigolo, Poor Gigolo , Reigen, and Was? to her most famous works. In the early 1980s, Sydne Rome became a fitness icon alongside Jane Fonda and launched several videos on the topic of aerobics . Since her participation in the series Das Erbe der Guldenburgs (1987-90), Sydne Rome was also frequently seen in German productions.
She also tried her luck as a singer and recorded the single Angelo prepotente in Italy in 1980 , which was later published in English as For You and in German as Wozu . In 1980 her debut album, simply titled Sydne Rome , was released, which contains a cover version of the Manfred Mann hit Ha Ha Said the Clown . The LP was a commercial failure. Her aerobic program also found its way onto a record in 1983 (Aerobic Fitness Dancing) and landed at number one in the German and number two in the Austrian album charts and was awarded a gold record in Germany . A suitable book and video were also published.
Rome lives with her 1987 geheirateten second man, the medicine professor Roberto Bernabei, and their two adopted children in Brazil in Rome and turns primarily films in Italy. In the meantime she has participated in over 50 productions.
