Sylvia Gerlich-Raabe (born April 18, 1953 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German theater actress and director .

Life

During her acting studies at the State University for Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt am Main, she already made practical experience at the Volkstheater Frankfurt under Liesel Christ , as well as in various roles on the school television of the Hessischer Rundfunk .

After her acting diploma in 1972 she had various engagements at theaters, for example in Oberhausen and Dortmund . At this time she was also seen in the role of Elsbeth in the ZDF series Die Vereinsmeier , as well as acting as a speaker. From 1974 to 1978 engagements in Aachen , Cologne and at the Staatstheater Karlsruhe followed . In addition to her theater work, she worked as a speaker for West German Broadcasting . During her one year engagement at the Grips-Theater Berlin she worked as a spokeswoman for the Sender Free Berlin as well as for the RIAS .

Further engagements at the Schauspiel Frankfurt , the Berliner Kammerspiele , the Berlin Schillertheater , in Essen and Bielefeld followed from 1979 to 1992. For example, in 1989 she played Elektra in Hansgünther Heyme's production of the Orestie at the Schauspiel Essen.

In 1983 she founded the theater group "Das Theater" with friends and colleagues, for which she works as a director and director. The actress accompanies her work as an acting teacher in addition to her many engagements and as a freelance actress in Frankfurt am Main .

After studying psychology at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main, she also works as a psychological consultant and trainer. To this day she has successfully managed “Das Theater”, which now bears her name and is located in Frankfurt am Main.
