Sylvia Reiser , actually Sylvia Reiser-Härlen , is a German artist .

Life

After completing her studies in 1987, Sylvia Reiser worked as a lawyer in the private sector for seven years. In 1994 she ended her professional career in order to shape her way as a freelance artist ever since.

In 1997 she was commissioned to manage the "Art Summer Helgoland 1998" project from the spa administration and the Helgoland community . For the summer of art, Sylvia Reiser and Kai Georg Wujanz designed the “Fahrendes Volk” bull group, bull sculptures made of three millimeter thick shipbuilding steel, as life-size silhouettes, blackened with gold-plated stainless steel horns, as landmarks on the south beach. Originally set up for the art summer 1998, the municipality of Helgoland acquired the work of art and made it a permanent installation on the Augustamole at the roadstead from September 1998.

In 1998 Reiser opened the "Sylvia Reiser Sculpture Garden" at her residence in Sigmaringendorf . Your atelier is both your exhibition space and your studio. In the midst of the art objects and decorations, welding and manual work are hardly imaginable for the visitor. In the following year the municipality of Sigmaringendorf acquired the monumental sculpture "Donau-Lauchert".

In 2000 the artist gave a television interview to INTV (Bayern TV). The interview was followed by a visit to the gallery. This was followed in 2001 by the Swiss TV station DRS 1 about sculptures by Sylvia Reiser.

Sylvia Reiser maintains worldwide contacts, which are cultivated and deepened at symposia. Her exhibitions can be found from America to China, in Germany and in other European countries, for example in Turkey, Romania and Hungary. In 2002 the Beijing Art Academy was invited to China for the international “d.fleiss east-west artist symposium” there, combined with an exhibition at the Heze Art Museum. This was followed by a report by "Second Chinese Television" on sculptures by Sylvia Reiser, as well as an article in the largest Chinese culture and business magazine "China Green Times" about Sylvia Reiser at the "d.fleiss east-west artist symposium".

In 2004 TV Romania broadcast a three-part documentary series about Sylvia Reiser at the “d.fleiss east-west artists symposium”.

In 2005 the artist presented metal sculptures under the exhibition motto “Visions in Gold” that float on bases made of granite and marble. Exhibition organizer Roland Doschka gave a laudation on July 18, 2005 on the occasion of a vernissage at the Stuttgart Regional Court.

In 2008 Sylvia Reiser found a partner in her new gallery owner and manager Marie Damiaans from Holland who represents her at all art fairs around the world. In October 2008, the Iraqi Embassy in The Hague ordered a sculpture by Sylvia Reiser from Marie Damiaans for their entrance hall. On November 23rd, an exhibition opened in the “seen art” gallery. Marie Damiaans will also present Sylvia Reiser exclusively at the “Millionaires Fair” in Amsterdam in mid-December. In January, the art fair in London will continue.

The sculptor lives in Stuttgart and has a studio in Sigmaringendorf . In Stuttgart she appears as a real estate agent with the company "Reiser-Härlen Sylvia Grund und Boden".

The trademark of the studied lawyer are bizarre, up to nine meters high, galvanically 24-carat gold-plated sculptures. The galvanic technology is unique in the world and was specially developed for Sylvia Reiser. The gold plating of stainless steel is otherwise hardly possible. At first glance, Sylvia Reiser's sculptures appear playful, lyrical and precious. They look downright solemn and have shed all appearance of the everyday. The materials that Ms. Reiser works with exude a touch of luxury. Gold (in the form of 24-carat gold-plated stainless steel sheets), marble and lapis lazuli blue, which has always been one of the most precious colors, are used.

Since 1997, various public and private sponsors have acquired works by Sylvia Reiser. Her works went to the State Ministry of Baden-Württemberg and the Hohner company in Trossingen, for example . Cities like Raffaela in Argentina , Aix-en-Provence in France and Innsbruck in Austria acquired works of art from her. Further works went to the Conservatory of Fine Arts in Debrecen in Hungary , to the Romanian Artists' Association in Bucharest , to the Heze Art Museum in China (Schandong Province), the "Red Rose" to Kobe in Japan , as well as to the Bochum study group and the Black Forest Academy.

Since 2001 Reiser has been entrusted with the design and production of “Music Awards” which were presented in Baden-Baden and Innsbruck on the occasion of the World Music Festival , a non-commercial international music festival with a changing focus. In 2005 the “Bodensee Awards” designed and manufactured by Sylvia Reiser were presented at the Bodenseefestival in Hagnau. In 2008 she designed a prize for the award of athletes in the Sigmaringen district.

In July 2010, works of art by Reiser were installed in all three courtyards of the district hospital in Sigmaringen. They are titled “Garden Courtyard of the Metaphysical Spirit”, “Garden Courtyard of the Soul” and “Garden Courtyard of the Body”.

Sylvia Reiser's sculpture garden

The Sylvia Reiser sculpture garden in Sigmarendorfer Bahnhofstrasse is dubbed a “pleasure garden”, with “ gold and a touch of luxury flooding the many small and large art objects ”. It is laid out as a pleasure garden leading steeply down to the Danube.
